Located in Zurich's Höngg District, Haus zum Schwertgut is perfect for business or leisure travelers residing in town. The property lies just a few streetcar stops away from the city center and offers a peaceful residential retreat with nearby shops, woods, and the banks of the Limmat river. Location
First built by a city official in 1640, Haus zum Schwertgut was originally surrounded by vineyards and served as a second residence. Over the years, it was enrichened with a beautiful Baroque garden, lateral extensions were added to the core of the house, resulting in this building's intriguing crescent shape. The unique architecture retains many features typical of Swiss and Germanic country houses, which are noted for their sturdy, yet elegant craftsmanship.
The interior was thoughtfully remodeled by private owners in the early 1980's. While the apartments respect the original character of the property, functionality and modern facilities were added to provide all the amenities of modern, urban life.
The Schwertgut house features 7 apartments ranging in price from sFr. 2'600 to sFr. 3'900. Their sizes vary between 50 and 100 m2 (450 to 900 sqf). All apartments are fully furnished and equipped with the following:
- Fully accessorized kitchen
- Linens and towels
- Cable TV
- Hispeed Internet Access
The rent includes cleaning service twice per month and all utility fees.
Minimum Stay:
2 months, thereafter weeks are prorated (unused stay will be refunded
from last month's rent).
Deposit and Refund:
One month's rent. Refund within 6 weeks after departure. No exceptions.
Cancellation Fee:

Payments:
We accept checks, cash, and bank transfers.
Included in the rent:
Utilities, basic cable TV set-up, bi-monthly housekeeping.
Telephone Service:
Service must be ordered by tenant. Telephones are provided
in each apartment.
Housekeeping:
Scheduled twice a month through the office. Includes: change of sheets
and towels, vacuuming carpets, dusting, bathroom, kitchen (appliances
excepted). Does not include: washing dishes, personal laundry, picking
up clothes, cleaning up after entertainment or removing trash and garbage.
Cost of additional housekeeping:
Additional housekeeping services are available and will be billed separately. The cost of these services varies according to the service and the size of the room.
Move-out:
By 11:00 a.m. Please notify office 30 days in advance. Failure to do so
will result in a weekly rate charge for up to one month..
